Oryx and Crake

I usually stay away from science fiction novels simply because they're generally too imaginative and rarely have any realistic component, but since Oprah recommended this particular book, I had to give it a shot. I'm glad I did and would recommend it to anyone who's a fan of this genre, or anybody for that matter. It is the most compelling depiction of the future ever. It has such a surreal feel to it!
